Making Money Out of Thin Air: My Life as a High Time Pilot

Since the beginning of my flying career at age 23, I’ve flown over 30,000 hours and over 30 kinds of aircraft, mostly jets. Most captains may average 10,000 flying hours in a career. Airline pilots are limited by 100 hours per month or 1,000 hours a year flying time, and very few pilots ever fly as many as 30,000 hours, thus the classification as “A High Time Pilot.” I suppose my experiences, both good and not-so-hot, have exceeded those most people have throughout their lives. At first glance, they may seem incredible, even unbelievable, these opportunities I’ve been granted. As you’ll note, more than a few of them could have cost me my life. I have also been pretty successful in the business world. I have more start-up knowledge than just about anyone. Most of my “luck” came by way of hard work and perseverance. I have included in this book, some of my more noteworthy take-aways from my experiences in the world of International Business.
